Understanding Ourselves and the Universe

Humans understand the world and each other through language rooted in bodily experience. In schizophrenia, both figurative language (like metaphors) and the sense of self can be disrupted. We propose that these difficulties are linked: when the sense of one’s body and self is altered, understanding metaphor and social meaning becomes harder, contributing to social challenges.

Nature loves symmetry. From snowflakes to galaxies, the universe follows elegant patterns. But what if there's a hidden symmetry we haven't discovered yet? In this talk, we will explore how physicists use symmetry to solve one of the universe's deepest mysteries: dark matter.
